Rothman, Gleim Announce More Than $1.3 Million in LSA Grants

December 18, 2025

HARRISBURG – State Sen. Greg Rothman (R-34) and Rep. Barb Gleim (R-Cumberland) are pleased to announce more than $1.3 million in Local Share Account (LSA) grants for projects in their communities.

“I was glad to advocate for and support these important projects,” Rothman said. “This funding will strengthen public safety, expand access to recreational opportunities, and ensure local infrastructure keeps pace with the evolving needs of our community.”

“The statewide LSA grant program is a vital tool for municipalities as they seek to improve or repair infrastructure or meet other unique needs,” said Gleim. “The grants are very competitive and the projects that are funded will improve quality of life for their local communities.”

The Local Share Account (LSA) program distributes funds from gaming revenue to support community and economic development projects.

Grants awarded include:

Cumberland County - $400,000 for the purchase of a mobile command vehicle to be used for emergency response and as a backup 911 center.
Keystone Trails Association - $171,218 for rehabilitation of the Scott Farm property in Middlesex Township.
Newburg Borough - $386,000 for construction of a new municipal maintenance garage.
Newburg Hopewell Joint Authority - $120,000 for improvements to its treatment facility.
Newville Borough - $114,918 for the purchase of public works equipment that will remove debris from stormwater catch basins.
