HARRISBURG – Rep. Barb Gleim (R-Carlisle) announced the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) today awarded a grant of $750,000 is slated for the Carlisle Connectivity Project.

“With the first phase completed, we must ensure the next two phases are completed on the timelines for which they have been scheduled,” Gleim said.

The two phases currently in progress are Tiger Project, which includes improvements to Fairground Avenue north of the railroad tracks and B Street improvements from Carlisle Springs Road north to College Street, and Project One, which focuses on Project 1 involves improvements to North Hanover Street and Carlisle Springs Road, are currently in progress.

“Progress was stalled on this project due to the COVID-19 pandemic and these funds will help our community recover economically.”

The 199th District includes the boroughs of Carlisle, Newville; and the townships of Dickinson, Upper Mifflin, Lower Mifflin, Middlesex, North Middleton, Silver Spring, Upper Frankford, Lower Frankford and West Pennsboro.
