Gleim to Host Bridge Dedication Ceremony

WHAT:   State Rep. Barb Gleim (R-Cumberland) will host a ceremony to honor the memory of Maj. Gen. Harold “Harry” Greene, a 2002 graduate of the United States Army War College in Carlisle. Greene was killed on Aug. 5, 2014, in an attack while visiting Camp Qargha’s Marshal Fahim National Defense University in Kabul. 

During the ceremony, the Army Heritage Drive bridge which crosses Interstate 81 in Middlesex Township, Cumberland County, will be designated the Major General Harold “Harry” Greene Memorial Bridge.

WHO:   Gleim will be joined by members of Greene’s family; Maj. Gen. John R. Pippy, Pennsylvania’s adjutant general; and several local elected officials. 

WHEN:   Saturday, June 28, at 1 p.m.
